NFS Donates $3000 to Blue Devil Batting/Pitching Facility
NFS' Plant Operations Director, Joel Duling presents Coach Charlie Baxter with a check for $3000. The donation will be used for the new indoor pitching and batting facility constructed at Baxter Field. See photos from inside the facility HERE.
"Erwin Nine" POW To Finally Receive Actual Medals In A Ceremony
"Erwin Nine" member George L. Hatcher, Jr., who was captured after his plane was shot down over Germany during World War II, was honored in an award ceremony at Unicoi County Courthouse. He received the actual medals he earned for his service. He is shown with TN State Senator Rusty Crowe as well as UC Register of Deeds Debbie Tittle. Tittle was instrumental in seeing that Hatcher received his awards and held a reception in his honor afterward. More....
