The Unicoi County Middle School 7th and 8th grade baseball teams have begun their regular seasons.
The UCMS 7th grade team is 2-0 with victories over Vance (5-3) and John Sevier (3-2), both games were played last week. Caleb Armstrong was the first game`s winning pitcher and Will Shelton threw for the win against Sevier.
The 8th grade team had a tough loss to Robinson (13-4) in their season opener last Thursday with Ethan Rice taking the loss.
The 8th grade coaches are Kevin Lingerfelt and Mike Riddell. Coaching the 7th graders are Travis Griffith and Ken Hilliard.
